The Guitar and Accessories Marketing
Association (GAMA) is a trade association comprised of guitar products manufacturers and distributors. Since its inception in c. 1935 our organization
has worked to expand the guitar industry.
Beginning in the mid 1990's GAMA's primary focus became the Teaching Guitar Workshops (TGW). The Workshops train school music educators to start or enhance existing guitar programs with the ultimate goal of bringing guitar instruction to children through school music. Since the program's inception, thousands of school music educators have been trained at our Workshops, and have reached an estimated half a million children.
GAMA has also sponsored such projects as International Guitar Month (IGM), an industry-wide
promotional program held every April and Guitars
In The Classroom, an exciting California school program
promoting guitar playing through non-musical subjects.
