Since 1995, when GAMA inaugurated its Teaching Guitar Workshops
(TGW) for school music teachers, an estimated 273,000 public school boys
and girls have been taught guitar by TGW alums. So how do these school
music teachers rate the value of TGW and its impact on their students,
administrators, and themselves?
Twenty percent of these teachers participated in a recent
GAMA survey, and the results appear in the Report Card below. It appears
that everyone—from students to school board trustees—is benefiting
from GAMA’s initiative.
